As I sat in the library reading "What to Expect When You're Expecting", I could see the old lady come out of my periphery and stare at me with contempt. I laugh to myself because he probably thinks I'm another pregnant teenager in Washington without a cause. However, I am not a pregnant teenager at all, but the soon-to-be obstetrician/gynecologist who reads pregnancy/baby books in her spare time for fun. Weird, I know, but that's why I plan on enrolling in the biology/prep program at UMW. For as long as I can remember, I have loved children. The way they smell, the way they coo, but not the way they cry. I love being around them, it always brings out the best people. I've been babysitting since I was old enough to change a diaper. My grandmother, who babysat for a while, always let us help her in the summer when we didn't go to school. If I wasn't babysitting I was watching TLC's BABY STORIES show with my mom.
