The President's plan for economic recovery cannot be based on the stimulus package he presented. There are many factors related to the economic recovery that need to be worked on, and the stimulus package is small compared to what really needs to be done. The entire country needs a breakthrough: financially, responsibly and economically to once again be the greatest nation in the world. This is the responsibility of the government, as well as the people, to respond with our choices that will help us grow and recover. The foreclosure market is a crisis surrounded by other factors that help it recover. The economy needs to be recovered through: • Growth and expansion of employment • Stop excess taxation • Stop government spending • Curb the housing crisis • Tariffs on incoming goods • Reduce the national debt Growth and expansion of jobs of work: the first step, as described above, is the need for industry to thrive again in this country. We must produce more than any country in the world and capitalize in every market, from technology to construction. If people have jobs, they can afford to spend money on items such as proposed healthcare. The administration needs to focus on HOW to make this happen and WHEN. Stop excessive taxes: Businesses are leaving in droves due to the high cost of taxing them, as well as the high cost of wages. By reducing taxes on businesses, they can afford to employ people here and stop outsourcing and moving companies to third world countries. They can afford to hire again and produce more within this country. Getting the “rust belt” producing again. Stop Government Spending: At this point the government is spending trillions of dollars on healthcare, which… by mid-paper… we will have to realize. we need to work on things for the country, instead of selling ourselves out for financial and personal gains. Global warming, healthcare and Afghanistan should take a backseat to job recovery, country stability and economic growth. The real estate market represents the independence of American citizens. It's a lifestyle. The American dream must be recognized and must be revived. The white house with the picket fence... the two and a half kids... saving for the future, instead of wondering what your next check will have to pay. The government must focus on what really matters, the American people. Get the job done now and for the future. The entire Congress has forgotten the most important thing that matters in this country: the people. People are what matters. Let's get our priorities straight and put it into practice.
