What's the problem with hydraulic fracturing? I'll start by describing what hydraulic fracturing is and then explain the problem that comes with it. Hydraulic fracturing is a process used in natural gas wells in the United States, where millions of gallons of water, sand and chemicals are pumped underground to crush the rock and release the gas. This process allows producers to recover natural gas and oil. It is a boon to our economy because it reduces nations' dependence on foreign oil and also reduces CO2 emissions from air quality. The problem with hydraulic fracturing is that the chemicals used in fracturing can pose a threat both underground and when waste fluids are handled and sometimes poured to the surface. Some of these fluids enter the water wells of people living near fracking wells and pollute them, making it very dangerous to do anything with them, even just to make contact. Fracking poses a threat to the people and animals that live within the shale. This is a big deal because the threat is so severe that the effects could potentially alter a human's lifespan and possibly end it in short order. Topic If the chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing wash up on the surface as waste fluids, then they pose a threat to humans. Chemicals are spilled on the surface and become waste fluids following hydraulic fracturing. Therefore, those waste fluids pose a threat to humans. My argument is deductive because I say that waste fluids pose a threat to humans and I will have more specific information on how they actually affect humans. The argument type is Modus Ponens because it states the antecedent. The researchHydraulic fracturing, also known as fracking, was created and used to create...... half of the paper......es the Air with Hazardous Chemicals states: “Benzene, a carcinogen, and chemicals that can irritate eyes and cause headaches, sore throats or difficulty breathing, have been found in the air near the wells.” People living near the wells wells run a high risk of getting cancer from chemicals spilled into the air Although when it comes to fracking most people think about how it contaminates the water, the most important thing to worry about is the air. that gets polluted.Water can be replaced with bottled water from different areas, but air cannot be replaced unless everyone has a respirator with them at all times is that some of the chemicals used in the hydraulic fracturing are unknown to most people and these people do not really know the effects that some chemicals could potentially have simply by breathing them..
