Huckle Berry Finn Final Essay I believe Huck Finn should be banned because it uses inappropriate grammar and language. Even though it is a classic book that expresses southern life at the time. Allowing students to forcibly read it as an assignment is absurd because we have already learned about the ring of suffering that African Americans went through in the South. From our previous history lessons on America and especially the South. As students we know that today it is wrong and inappropriate to use these types of words to refer to huck and finn. It does not use correct English and is bold for students to read. What kind of thing is improper grammar and English trying to teach us by not banning this book in schools? If we have time we should read books like this, but other than that it's not right to force ourselves to read Huck and Finn. Personally I feel uncomfortable reading it. It devalues our entire perspective I feel on life and society, and what a lesson there is to set with the foul language used. That it can be used in society is what we should expect. As America has come a long way from racism, we still have a long way to go. There are still racist people out there who still judge you for the color of your skin. But it all starts now with the students as we are the future and we are very influential. In addition to being able to learn the language and as students we cannot be protected from the world, but we can accept mistakes and try not to make the same hypocritical decisions made before us. In any case, whether we read these books in groups or not, it is the perception of the world and when we begin to make changes in our lives and shelter ourselves from these types of books it leaves us naive to what awaits us.. .... middle of paper.. ....the context of the form. Even if it then expresses the irony of punishment. There is no doubt that it was written to be offensive, it was written to give insight into the problems people faced growing up in the South back then. Although the context is irreverent and wonky, I believe students can and will decontextualize it by reading a book like this. In conclusion, Huck and Finn is a thrilling and suspenseful book. Why students read it as homework is scandalous. And you shouldn't be allowed to read it in English class or at school. Because the sentence structure is incorrect. along with the use of words is ridiculous and some students not all prefer to read a book with suspense and correct context rather than an incorrect context with suspense. This will make some students dislike books like this one even more, in my opinion, on this topic.
