Music is an important component in our lives, and it's everywhere we turn these days. Music has evolved and expanded from the 1960s to the present day and we are yet to discover the full potential and growth of music in the coming years thanks to musical artists who are experts in all musical genres. One quality that many people can share is their love of music, regardless of what type of music the individual prefers. Music is powerful in itself because it helps communicate with other social groups, can influence our mood, and portrays our culture or any other important aspect of our lives. Without the countless efforts of all talented musical artists, we would not have such an incredible contribution to our history and to the world of the humanities. Marshall Bruce Mathers III, also known as Eminem, is considered a famous American record producer, rapper, actor and songwriter ("Marshall Bruce Mathers III"). Eminem struggled throughout his childhood changing numerous schools and homes. He eventually dropped out of school after failing sixth grade three times to focus on what he liked to do best, which was writing music and rapping. Although he was never very good at school, "Eminem found a way to express his passion for the language, as well as unleash his youthful anger through the emerging musical genre of hip hop" ("Marshall Bruce Mathers III "). During the late 1980s and early 1990s, most rap music was produced and sung by people of color. A lot of people didn't take him seriously because he was a white male trying to rap in competitions, in "battles" in Detroit with black people. Both these artist musicians are extraordinary, because they share a common factor, which is also their best quality. In their early lives, both musical artists had their own story to tell about their complications and difficulties. These artists have done a great job managing and finding their way to success and also contributing their talent to the world of humanities for song lovers to enjoy and appreciate every day. Music is something important in our life; gives color to a normal black and white image. With music we can express our feelings, share our thoughts and imagine what cannot be.
