A human right is defined as any right that rightly belongs to every person. If you were to take a survey and ask the question, “What are human rights?” you will receive a series of answers. However, it is very likely that all the answers contain the word “freedom”. Human rights are based on the ethic of respect for the individual. This concept is called human rights because it is usually universal. While nations or specialized groups enjoy specific rights that apply only to them, human rights are rights to which everyone is entitled, regardless of who they are or where they live; simply because they live. These ethical rules have been bent to the grossness of history. One specific violation occurred on February 19, 1942, when US President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066.
