A credible coach allows you to get the most out of your athletes while being respected as a coach. Coach Krzyzewski was one of the coaches interviewed and he hit the nail on the head when he said, “Coaching is about relationships. It goes far beyond the X's and O's. You have to create an environment of trust between your staff and athletes. Without trust, you have nothing. If you have faith, you will be able to achieve great things." Credible coaching is no longer a secret, the book explains the seven basic strategies needed to become a credible coach. These strategies and components will impact your coaching in many ways, not only will they help your team succeed but they will help you not burn out and will bring back the enjoyment you once had for the game. The process of becoming a more credible coach is not easy; you need to complete a self-assessment and evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. This part can be difficult due to pride, but you must be able to see your own weaknesses and strengths to become a credible coach. The caring element of credible coaching is by far, in my opinion, the most important aspect of credible coaching. We all age and gradually abandon our sports, but relationships last forever. B) how this book influences your coaching activity Not only will I apply these seven secrets to my future coaching activities, but I will apply them in my daily life. I believe that these strategies are important for any type of relationship, be it work or family. Now I will look at the big picture and realize that these athletes will one day have to move forward and will need the skills necessary to be able to survive. I want to be the coach where players from the past can still have a relationship with me and respect me. By applying these components I believe I can achieve this goal.
