Because Chinese porcelain was treated as a rare visual device in Europe like ostrich eggs, coconuts and serpentine. According to Chan (2005), Europeans may adorn porcelain with expensive materials to increase its value, such as gold, and use mounted pottery to decorate their home, such as attractive sideboards. Due to high cost and rarity, early mounted porcelain was limited to royalty and some noble families. Therefore, owning early mounted porcelain is the status symbol to show their powerful treasure, social level and status. In Figure 1, the mounted bowl is one of the illustrations of reshaping and ornamenting the Chinese porcelain surrounded by gold with the method of using supports that the Chinese pattern is located in the inner surface of the bowl and has double-walled objects with an outer wall drilled which in China is called "Linglong" due to the time it takes to produce the artwork.
