The book "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" begins with Aunt Polly, Tom's aunt, looking for Tom Sawyer around the house. When she catches him, she asks him if he went swimming during school and Tom denies it. He finds out that he is lying, but before he can do anything, Tom quickly runs away. Tom Sawyer meets a new boy in the village, with whom he fights. When he returns home, Aunt Polly catches him sneaking and punishes him the next day. On Saturday Tom is forced to paint the fence white. He was too lazy for others to do so for the price of whatever items they had with them. He then comes to the conclusion that making things more difficult and difficult to obtain makes them more desirable to others. When he told his aunt he had finished the fence, she checked to see if he had done everything and was shocked. Tom received an apple as a reward and then went for a walk. During his walk, he saw a new girl at Jeff Thatcher's house, she is so angelic – so he forgets the girl he liked, Amy Lawrence. When he is home, his Aunt Polly beats Tom because his half-brother, Sid, dropped the jar of sugar. The next day, Tom goes to Sunday school and shows off by asking Mr. Walters for a Bible because he had ten red tickets. He did this to show off to Judge Thatcher, Becky Thatcher's father. Tom introduces himself to Judge Thatcher and answers his questions about the Bible. Because Tom is bored in Sunday school, he starts looking at the poodle and the grocer, this keeps him occupied during his boredom. Tom refuses to go to school on Monday morning, so he tries to make excuses and fake an injury, but it doesn't work. On the way to school, he meets Huckleberry Finn, the son of the town drunkard, and they both arrange a night meeting to bury the dead cat Hu... middle of paper... decide to enter the cave. Meanwhile, Huckleberry Finn sees two men with a box and follows them. He overhears Injun Joe's "revenge" plan to kill Widow Douglas. He decides to tell people and warn them. Later, Tom and Becky are revealed to have disappeared into the caves; so all men begin to look for them. Tom and Becky, however, are too weak to call them. Tom ends up seeing Injun Joe in a nearby passage in the cave. He later discovers a way out of the cave and he and Becky return home. When he returns, he informs them about Injun Joe, not wanting him to starve like Tom and Becky did. When the cave is opened, Injun Joe is found dead. Later, Tom and Huckleberry Finn return to search for treasure and find over twelve thousand gold coins. They become rich and Huckleberry Finn is now under the protection of the Widow Douglas and part of Tom Sawyer's gang..
