Many inventors and inventions have influenced the world politically, economically and socially. Scientific advances, navigational advances, and technological advances have affected the world in many ways. These inventions were especially useful to European nations in battles, exploration, and imperialism. The characteristics of European imperialism have influenced many countries in the world and changed history. Furthermore, European imperialism had a huge effect on Asian and African nations in many ways. They conquered many countries, enslaved and imperialized. Gunpowder, the vaccine, blood transfusion, the telescope, surgery, the submarine, the barometer, the submarine, and the microscope are all great inventions that helped change the way people live today. These are some of the many scientific inventions that have changed the way people live. Gunpowder was first used by the Chinese to light fireworks. Gunpowder forever changed the way people will fight in wars. It was used in artillery and small arms. Instead of using arrows, people could easily shoot a gun. The first weapons were lit using a match and therefore it took a long time to light it. Gunpowder was also used in bombs. The mixture consisted of coal and pieces of iron. The bombs would then be catapulted forward towards the enemy and then explode. By the late 1300s, gunpowder had reached European nations and was being used in the French and English armies. Vaccines, surgeries, and blood transfusions also changed the world forever. Vaccines are used as an injection to give the body a fake illness and train the body to be ready if a real illness or disease affected the body. Surgeries are treatments that repair parts of the body using special medical instruments. Blood transfusions are used... half the paper... the Netherlands was all part of it. Native American slaves were replaced by African slaves for many reasons; Africans were not likely to suffer from the diseases of European peoples. The Native Americans knew the land better and it would have been easier for them to escape. The colonizers needed good numbers of people to work to harvest the crops, and Africa provided those workers. European nations felt bored with what they had. They wanted to explore the world, spend and earn money. They also wanted to control the countries. Europe thought that expansion would provide it with resources and markets to trade with. Europeans were motivated to expand because they knew the economy would become stronger, they did not want other untrusted countries to gain resources and goods, and they pitied countries that were not organized or governed. Now all I have to do is locate the sources.
