Values ​​are the cornerstone of a community's morality. They are a set of rules and regulations that society expects its members to adhere to. Members of a society share a common culture that is passed down from generation to generation. Culture depends on the ability to learn; the characteristics of each society gradually change over generations through innovations introduced by members of its community. An emphasis on core values ​​such as family, education, freedom, and improving the quality of life of a community's citizens. Freedom was ranked the most important value among my American Society Group 4 peers. The general consensus on freedom is that people have the right to choose. A comparison of the group's ideas about freedom involved the right to be independent and to have rights such as freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion and access to information. Freedom was seen as an opportunity to make decisions and have the ability to choose one's path in life. A member of the group explained that valuing freedom means valuing our country. Another member believes that freedom offers specific choices in the field of religious beliefs. A fundamental factor of freedom was individualism and the right to be oneself. Freedom is a fundamental right for all Americans. It is important for a population to be not only independent but also self-sufficient with respect to state assistance programs. It is vital that people have access to services and information for members of society to function. People are free to express themselves and are not bound by the control of governments in other countries. When the people of a community know that they have rights and that they are free, there is a… means of paper… that an exclusive right in America allows people to be independent and guarantees the rights of the people. A greater awareness of the importance of these values ​​can positively transmit into the future as their usefulness can transcend time.
