Preventing Oil Leaks Water pollution is a major environmental concern. It is known as a change in the chemical or physical state of water. Water pollution is causing harmful and tragic diseases that affect many families. It is also a global problem that affects not only people but also animals and plants. Water pollution is a current problem that has serious consequences; it progresses every day into our lakes, oceans, rivers and other bodies of water. Water is one of the most precious natural resources that exist on our planet. “It is released from the atmosphere as rain, snow, hail, fog, and condensation and returns to the atmosphere by evaporation and transpiration” (Hannigan 1969). Even though many of us love activities that involve water, we ignore them and pollute rivers, lakes and oceans. Slowly but surely we will damage our planet without return. Protecting and conserving nature will ensure a better future. 71% of the earth is covered by oceans. Sounds like a lot, right? Imagine... middle of paper... this problem is no longer necessary, be the one to make a difference. Works Cited Azeem, Abdul. "Causes, effects and solution of water pollution". Academia.edu.
