Coca-Cola's competitors are nowhere near outperforming, and even though PepsiCo is a more diversified industry and has operated in different segments rather than just beverages, their numbers they're not that close yet. According to the statistics portal, Coca Cola held a market share of 48.6% in 2015, surpassing PepsiCo and all other beverage industries worldwide. Pepsi, however, had less than half of Coca-Cola's market share, at 20.5 percent; leaving other carbonated drinks with a 30.9% market share. When we think of Coca-Cola, we usually compare directly to Pepsi because both drinks have very similar taste and ingredients, in fact if you closed your eyes and took a sample of both carbonated drinks; you most likely wouldn't be able to tell which drink is what.
