With this, you can see in Sophie Treadwell's work that the Young Women is still a young girl who is slowly discovering who she is but is always smothered by her mother and forced to do things that she personally doesn't want to do, like marry her rich and powerful husband. Women must understand that they are more than just property that can make their families prosper and that they are an important asset to the world beyond being married or having children. This is why I will use Realism because it gives a sense of purpose to the whole play, so it flows until the last scene. I find that realism adds a really strong emotion that the audience not only feels connected to and that's why it will be easy to spot all the characters and connect with them.
