When people are tortured, the information provided is often falsified. Torture should only be used to prevent terrorism because it is a way to obtain vital information that will prevent terrorist acts or harm in the future. The use of torture is the means of obtaining a confession or information using extreme anguish of the body or mind that causes severe pain. To develop this position, this essay will examine the definition of what is meant by torture. This term will look at how it should be used and when it should be used.
