Implementing the INCLUDE StrategyIntroduction:Effective teachers evaluate their classroom environment against the academic, functional, behavioral, and social needs of their students. After taking this into consideration, the teacher should make appropriate accommodations and/or modifications to ensure the success of all students in the classroom. Despite a teacher's highest expectations of students, students who require a more personalized approach will always be a cause for concern. The INCLUDE strategy is intended for these students who require a personalized approach. INCLUDE offers teachers a strategy to make adjustments or adjustments based on individual student needs, along with the teacher's expectations in the classroom. (Friend & Bursuck, 2006) The INCLUDE strategy is based on the theory that what happens in a classroom can decrease or increase the impact of student learning, making necessary adaptations for change, or modify student learning behavior . By assessing a student's needs and learning styles and the demands of the school environment, a teacher can accommodate most students with special needs in their classrooms. (Friend & Bursuck, 2006) The INCLUDE strategy contains both universal design and differentiated instruction components. These two strategies are approaches that address classroom diversity in general education contexts and classroom inclusion contexts. The idea of UDL is that instructional lessons, strategies and assessments are planned with supports, which are more likely to be suitable for students with special needs. The supports minimize the need for subsequent adaptations. Properly designed classrooms require fewer accommodations for students with special needs, it's a butt... middle of paper... (Friend & Bursuck, 2006) In the past, Sam's family has not been very supportive. However, we know that parental feedback can help a lot in evaluating a strategy tested with a student. By involving Sam's parents in monitoring his academic and social behavior, the teacher can carefully evaluate Sam's progress and the effectiveness of the strategies introduced, with their feedback. Conclusion Effective practices like INCLUDE enable teachers to welcome greater diversity into their classrooms. When teachers have the mindset of adapting their classrooms, they reduce the need to make more individualized adjustments, unless they are necessary for particular students. The most important aspects of maintaining an orderly and effective school environment are organization, grouping, instructional materials, and strategies to promote successful students.
