“Women's empowerment comes from a process in which women can freely analyse, develop and express their needs and interests without these being predefined or imposed unintentionally by religion, government or social norms and where their influence and control extend women's family/kin circles” (Haghighat, par.6). There is an ongoing fight for women's rights around the world. Men have gained more power than women, both economically and politically, and their rights are not limited as women's rights are. There are no limits with men while women are limited in many things. “When the right to vote was granted to women between the late 1800s and 1920s, it was a defining moment for the women's rights movement in the democracies of Western Europe and North America” (“Women's Rights” )"Women's rights groups in the second half of the 20th century focused on greater legal equality in wages and credit, reproductive rights, family law, and education” (“Women's Rights”). women are limited to them and it is time to give women more rights to equality because women should have equality in every aspect of their lives. They are not able to gain personal power because of the rights that are not given to them. Empowerment means increasing the spiritual, political, social, educational, gender or economic strength of individuals or communities.
