1.0 Introduction We live in a technology-driven world. Day after day, the world we live in continually develops in various aspects. Along with this, a trend has developed in education to cater to the best of students. This clearly means that trends in the education system are continuously changing from time to time. The modernized world has changed people's perception on the way they look at the current trends in education. Speaking of trends, what do we understand about trends? According to Erlendsson (2003) trend in short means 'a regular change in data over time'. The essay I am writing about is 'Students' Learning Styles in Classroom' which focuses on the use of learning styles in education today. I currently teach Visual Arts for grades 1 and 2 in School X, an international school in Kuala Lumpur. I personally conducted lessons suited to the learning styles of all students. 2.0 Definition of Learning Styles Learning styles is a word that can be defined and understood in various ways, resulting in misunderstanding of the term 'learning styles'. Learning styles may be considered the best learning method for a child, but many fail to understand that catering to students' learning styles does not necessarily promise to lead to effective learning. Some people may assume that learning style can be easily identified through online tests and often take a student's learning styles very easily, which results in lower achievement. What is the real meaning of the term "learning styles"? The term learning styles is broad; therefore it is impossible to establish a single meaning for learning styles.
