INTRODUCTION OF GOOGLE:Figure 1: GOOGLE LOGO (m.alam, 2008)Google is considered the leading search engine in the world. Google Inc was founded in 1998 by Stanford University graduate students Larry Page and Sergei Brin. While studying at Stanford Larry and Brin designed a search engine called Black Rub and after two years they changed the name to Google Inc. Google, Inc was founded on September 7, 1998. Google Inc first started its business from garage from a friend in Menlo Park, California. Craig Silverstein was the first employee to be hired by Page and Brin, who later became the chief technology officer of Google Inc. In the year 2000 the company replaced Yahoo's internal search engine at first by providing the additional search result for Yahoo. Currently, with an excess share of approximately 50% of the total search market, Google offers search results not only for its own search engines but also for several search engines on the web. (summittoday, 2005) The Google Inc company began as an online search company. Nowadays the company provides a surplus of 50 different Internet services and products, some of which are email, mobile phones etc. In the year 2012 the Google company achieved an achievement with Motorola Mobility which consolidated its position in the market for the sale of hardware in the form of mobile phones. The company with a wide collection and range of products has placed it in the list of top four powerful companies in the technologically advanced market alongside Apple, IBM and Microsoft companies. Regardless of the numerous products, the main focus of the company's success still remains as it started with the originally white... half paper... hybrid car worth $5000. (Tampa, 2009) The main factor of Google Inc is that their compensation is simple. The intrinsic rewards offered by Google are not a true hierarchy, a small work group and a purpose. The business structure is fluid and that makes them creative. (Cook, 2012) PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: At Google engineers are mostly encouraged to spend 20% of their work time working on something different that they have an interest in individually and that also benefits the company. (MEDIRATTA, 2007) Google also offers an educational compensation plan in which the company will pay up to $8000 for an employee to take job-related courses at an outside university. The company also offers employees up to 5 years of vacation, granting up to $150,000 to any employee who wishes to pursue extra education on a full-time basis. (Staib, 2008)
