It was interesting because I was actually discussing with an 8 year old boy, who I babysit, about the topic of our class assignment and I told him that I was trying to think of a really good film. He thought about it for a moment and then looked at me shortly after and said, “I get it: The Blind Side!” I thought it was extremely strange that he chose this over all the other films out there that depicted people with disabilities. I watched the film again and realized that the media paid special attention to Michael Oher's disabilities when he was a student. He wasn't stupid but he needed help to succeed. So much so that he needed a tutor after school every day until late at night to help him pass. He understood better with one-on-one in one direction. The media did a good job of showing other students' reactions to Michael
