Topic > Genetically modified organisms are harmful - 1004

Did you know that the food you may be eating right now may be harmful to you? The food you eat every day may contain GMOs which may contain things that can cause allergies and sometimes even cancer. GM crops can be harmful and dangerous for you. Another reason why GM crops are inappropriate is because they can reduce the biodiversity of plants and crops and can destroy rare plant species. It can harm organisms that you may not intend to kill. Some might say that GM crops can stop world hunger. IT WILL NOT! Research shows that some GM crops cannot meet a human's nutritional needs. It also won't help solve world hunger because some GM crops need a lot of resources to be able to produce healthy crops and poor farmers don't have many resources. Stop and think about your food before you let it enter your body. Is it safe? Is this okay with me? Well, if you find yourself stuck in one of those situations where you can't decide whether genetically modified foods are good or bad, you're in the right place. Genetically modified crops can be dangerous for you because of the allergies they can cause. These GM crops are organisms that have had genes inserted to make them prettier, but remember, you can't judge a book by its cover. These "delicious" looking crops may look like the best crops you've ever seen, but on the inside they can cause allergies that can make you rethink, is this really good for me? Research shows in the article “GMOs and Genetically Modified Foods, Risks and Dangers of GMOs,” that “this can create an overproduction of allergens, toxins, carcinogens or antinutrients.” This makes it clear that GM crops can create many different allergens in the paper before it's too late. GMOs can make your environment sad and unhappy, save your environment before it's too late. Genetically modified seeds can travel from one place to another very quickly, so stop them from doing so by telling people around you how harmful these devil seeds can be. Don't fool yourself into thinking about how this “big” GMO can help solve world hunger because I have a feeling you will be disappointed. Works Cited Bailey, Britt.
