The distinctive imperfect tone you hear every hour, in London, coming from a massive clock tower known as Big Ben or Elizabeth Tower, honoring Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee starting in June 2012; seeing more of Big Ben, a ride on the London Eye would give an amazing view of the clock tower. Another interesting and historical thing to look into, in London, is the London Bridge. Although there are many places to visit or visit in London, some interesting places could be Big Ben, London Eye and London Bridge. To begin with, Big Ben is a very historical tourist attraction that will catch your attention, in London. One of the most recent changes to Big Ben is the name change: "In June 2012 the House of Commons announced that the clock tower would be renamed the Elizabeth Tower in honor of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee" (London's Big) . While visiting Big Ben you may find a strange saying on the clock tower which reads "DOMINE SALVAM FAC REGINAM NOSTRAM VICTORIAM PRIMAM" which means "O Lord, protect our Queen Victoria the First". Looking at Big Ben you might not notice exactly how big the oversized clock is, the minute hands alone are 4.2 meters long and weigh around 100kg. The numbers are approximately 60cm long. The number of glass pieces in the watch alone is astonishing; There are 312 pieces of glass in each watch face. The clock tower is located at the northern end of the new Houses of Parliament which were built next to Westminster Hall (The History). Subsequently, Big Ben was commissioned during the reconstruction of the Palace of Westminster following a fire in 1834. Parliament wanted to add an impressive clock tower to the city.
