The film "It Happened One Night" is a milestone in the history of cinema because it became the first film to win the Academy Awards in the five most prestigious nominations. Since then, only two films have managed to repeat his success, namely "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "The Silence of the Lambs". Unlike drama genre films, the film "It Happened One Night" is a 1934 romantic comedy starring Claudette Colbert and Clark Gable in the lead roles. As in any other love story, the main characters are constantly hindered by many obstacles on the way to happiness. The movie "It Happened One Night" is no exception; mutual hostility, marriage and misunderstandings prevent Peter and Ellie from meeting. One of the biggest obstacles between the protagonists is the mutual antipathy born from the first minutes of their acquaintance. By harassing Ellie on the spot, Peter Worn shows himself to be a rude, rude and sufficiently brazen individual. In turn, Ellie prefers to refuse his help to throw the suitcase on the top shelf and shows her arrogance when Peter tries to take her suitcase away from a thief. It is obvious that, in an attempt to hide who she really is, Ellie is forced to be harsh and taciturn, and therefore Peter had the impression of Ellie as an "ungrateful brat". Furthermore, Warne blackmails the daughter of a millionaire, telling her that he would tell her where her father is if she did not give him an exclusive interview, which naturally cannot arouse Ellie's sympathy. Such mutual hostility mainly refers to the significant difference between the protagonists in social status, education and behavior. It is unlikely that under normal circumstances, such contrary people would have the chance to... middle of paper... that the reporter just wants to receive his ten thousand dollar reward. However, they came to premature conclusions about Peter's greed because he only paid the bill for thirty-nine dollars and sixty cents. Such a misunderstanding would never have happened if the protagonists had not hidden their feelings and expressed their thoughts and assumptions to each other. All barriers and obstacles, such as mutual antipathy, marriage and misunderstandings, were symbolized in an improvised and sufficiently tangible "Wall of Jericho". among the protagonists of the film “It happened one night”. After overcoming all these challenges, Peter and Ellie finally found their love and ruined this "wall" in the final scene. The moral of this film is that if two people are truly made for each other, there is nothing impossible that will stop them from being together..
