The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Health services should be provided to all people without discrimination of any kind. The creation of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) was made in December 1989. created as the Agency for Healthcare Policy and Research (AHCPR). It was subsequently reauthorized on December 6, 1999, and has since been called the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. It is a public health service agency that is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. In the Agency, it is the Director's responsibility to implement the AHRQ Information Quality Guidelines. AHRQ is one of 12 agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and provides support to healthcare research initiatives. To fulfill its mission, it conducts and supports health services research within AHRQ and in the following sectors: academic institutions; in health systems; in doctors' offices and hospitals.
